  • The Rozika forest learning path (marked by yellow and blue spots) starts near the upper station of the cable car next to Hotel Bellevue, presenting
the forest of Pohorje (vegetation, animals, rocks), the church of Saint Bolfenk on Pohorje (tourist information centre, exhibitions and concerts), a 20 m high lookout tower with a wonderful view of Maribor and the entire Pohorje ridge to the west, as well as Kozjak, Slovenske Gorice, the Drava and Ptuj plains, Bo?, Dona?ka gora, and the tops of the Zagorje range in Croatia. This green oasis on the eastern side of the Alps is a vivid example of the coexistence of man and nature.
  • The Kapelvald forest learning path (3200 m long) starts in Josipdol near Ribnica. Although quite steep at the beginning near the Štru?evo farm, the path runs mostly flat and finally descends through the village of Josipdol back to its starting point. The path is marked by a pine tree and a church. There are 10 marked viewing stations where visitors can admire natural beauties and learn about the significance of the forest.
  • The Uršankovo forest learning path presents the forest of the Pohorje's middle mountain region, with the streams of Lobni?ica and Lobnica. Downstream on the Lobnica, you may find 23 watermills and sawmills and see the old Vivat glassworks. There are 11 viewing stations, and the path takes about an hour to walk. You can start or end the walk with a sip of fresh Pohorje water at the spring under the Mucova pe?ina rock.

You will certainly enjoy:

  • The BORDER SCENIC ROAD between Koralpe and Gornja Radgona.
